Ananda Brandão is a rising star of the Paris jazz scene, and is quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting young musicians in the city.

Having completed a Jazz Diploma at the Conservatoire De Versailles, Brandão is now studying at the Centre Des Musiques Didier Lockwood, which is a school dedicated to "defending jazz and improvised music".

Influenced by her Brazilan heritage, Brandão's drumming is infused with Latin-American rhythm. Her versatily also has allowed her to play with several Israeli jazz bands, as well as performing at a regular rock night at Supersonic (one of Paris's best known rock venues).

Last year saw Brandão performing frequently with the legendary Rhoda Scott, who has worked with Count Basie, George Benson and Ella Fitzgerald among others. In the summer they toured around France, playing at some important European festivals such as Festival Des 5 Continents and Django Reinhardt Festival.

Happy teaching students of all levels (including beginner and intermediary), Brandão is an experienced teacher who loves helping her students fall in love with the instrument.
